An RBF application will be presented in the speak “Fare innovazione con l’additive manufacturing: risvolti pratici e per il business” that will be given by HSL at the event Simulazione e prototipazione… due preziosi alleati per innovare! organised by Trentino Sviluppo in the framework Innovation Academy 2017 on 15th February, in Rovereto.
HSL Italia, partner in EU FP7 Fortissimo project., will share the advanced approach as well as the achievements of the experiment “Cloud-based modelling for the 3-D printing of complex shapes”.driven by the morphing-based RBF technology.
In this case study the advantage coming from the synergy between advanced manufacturing (3D printing) and advanced design (surface sculpting based on mesh morphing and adjoint CFD sensitivities) is demonstrated. The objective is the development of an optimisation service. The goal is to demonstrate the validity of such a service by optimising a prospective industrial artefact, a Lamborghini 12-cylinder airbox.
