What Are You Looking For?

February 3, 2026

RBF Morph participated in the Symposium on Modelling and Engineering Simulation 2026, which took place at SUPSI – Campus EST in Lugano, Switzerland, on 10 February 2026.

Our founder, Prof. Marco Evangelos Biancolini, delivered a keynote presentation entitled Geometry Intelligence and Fast RBF for Real-Time CAE Optimization. The talk focused on advanced methodologies for geometry parametrization and deformation based on Radial Basis Functions, highlighting how fast RBF algorithms enable real-time interaction between geometry modification, numerical simulation, and optimization loops.

The presentation explored how RBF Morph supports high-fidelity CAE processes by allowing continuous geometry updates without remeshing, significantly reducing computational overhead while preserving numerical accuracy. Emphasis was placed on integrated workflows for design space exploration, multidisciplinary optimization, and simulation-driven decision making.

Practical applications were discussed, ranging from Formula 3 aerodynamic development to CubeSat structural optimization, demonstrating how real-time geometry intelligence accelerates engineering design across automotive, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The symposium provided an important opportunity to discuss the future of modelling and simulation.
