An interesting paper titled Gemello digitale in sala operatoria has been published on the Italian journal “Analisi e Calcolo” n° 107 November/December 2022.
This study presents a steady-state CFD simulation of an operating theater with the aim of obtaining, in real-time, the variables of interest associated with any change in the room. This is possible by means of a Digital Twin (DT), obtained by a ROM (Reduced Order Model) using a SVD (Singular Value Decomposition) compression algorithm. The workflow adopted to build the DT of the operating theater was defined considering its importance not only for design and maintenance, but also for reactive environmental management.
