Abstract “Mesh morphing techniques for the optimization in the aeronautical field”
This paper explores the use of mesh morphing in the aeronautical field with a special focus on main aircraft parameters.
The work is composed in three papers. The first one by University of Rome “Tor Vergata” describes the method, the second one by Piaggio Aero Industries S.p.A, demonstrates how the method can be applied to a Business class Aircraft investigating the effect of sweep angles.
The third one by D’Appolonia is focused on the effect of wing nacelle interaction on the DLR-F6
geometry.
