Abstract “Mesh Morphing to synchronize shapes CAD and CAE”
One of the most important requirements of shape optimization algorithms is an accurate synchronization of shapes designed in the CAD environment and the meshes used for numerical CAE simulations.
The complex workflow used for the generation of the mesh required by numerical solvers often makes it very difficult shape parameterization, especially in the caseof CFD analysis where the grids can also count hundreds of millions of cells.
The industrial software RBF Morph is an example of how the mesh morphing can achieve an effectiveinterface between these two environments.
