We are pleased to announce that RBF Morph will be take part in the second Fortissimo Forum 2015 on July 8 2015 in Amsterdam The Netherlands with the presentation “RBF Morph software – how to reshape the CAE workflows by Radial Basis Functions mesh morphing”.

The Forum will bring together Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Service Providers, Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and technical experts around the theme of HPC  applications in the cloud. This year’s specific topics are dedicated to the opportunities that Fortissimo will bring to small and medium sized ISVs.

The Agenda is available here. RBF Morph is the ISV partner of the experiment Virtual Automatic Rapid Prototyping Based on Fast Morphing on HPC Platforms.

The Project of Fortissimo

Fortissimo is a collaborative project that enables European SMEs to be more competitive globally through the use of simulation services running on a High Performance Computing cloud infrastructure.

The project is coordinated by the University of Edinburgh and involves 45 partners including Manufacturing Companies, Application Developers, Domain Experts, IT Solution Providers and HPC Cloud Service Providers from 14 countries.

The project is funded by the European Commission within the 7th Framework Programme.

Virtual Automatic Rapid Prototyping Based on Fast Morphing on HPC Platforms

The experiment will enable an advanced shape optimization workflow for internal flows based on CFD, mesh morphing and adjoint sensitivity; complex shapes achievable with 3d printing are specifically focused.

An intake manifold of an Internal Combustion Engine will be used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach; the resulting optimal shape will be printed and compared with the original one.
