We are pleased to announce that a seminar entitled “Fast Radial Basis Functions for Engineering Applications” will be given by Prof. M. E. Biancolini on 7 February 2018 at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture – DICAr of of the University of Pavia.
The aim of this seminar is to put the interested attendees in a better position with respect to RBF providing them with a clear vision of their potential toward engineering applications. The foundation of RBF is firstly introduced, then a collection of practical applications of RBF in several engineering sectors is reviewed (mesh morphing of CAE models, multi-physics mapping, response surface interpolation, mapping of magnetic loads, surface sculpting using adjoint sensitivity data, and many others).
